The lake, the village with its hamlets, a steep forest belt and the vertical cliffs characterise the excursions in the Alleghe area. The environment one encounters is most varied.
From the comfortable walks at the bottom of the valley to the classic mountain trails to the more severe environments and routes reserved for experts.
The presence of the lake characterises the valley floor routes. The beauty and uniqueness of this stretch of water are a strong attraction for a relaxing walk lulled by the pleasant breeze that even on hot days makes the route pleasant.
The possibility of using the gondolas that start from the centre of the village makes it much easier to climb to the top and allows everyone to reach some of the most beautiful viewpoints.
The 'malghe' (shepherd's huts) and refuges provide excellent support points and offer typical local dishes and products that enrich the excursion. It is important to plan carefully the routes best suited to one's abilities, without forgetting certain precautions set out in the 'Mountain Friendly and Safe' project, which you can find summarised here . The class is suitable for everyone, even those who have never practised yoga before. It begins with sun salutations and continues with the practice of standing and floor postures, with emphasis on deep breathing.

Drypoint Engraving Workshop "Engrave your letterThe workshop consists in introducing participants to Graphic Art by making an engraving using the Drypoint technique on a 12.5x18 cm Plexiglas matrix, which will then be printed by hand using a star press. A very popular and suggestive walk that allows you to admire the town of Alleghe from its best side. Surrounded by the buttresses of Monte Fertazza and the Civetta massif, bathed by the waters of Lake Alleghe, it offers a unique and unrepeatable dolomitic picture.
Along the shores it is possible to rent pedal boats to move around the lake and enjoy the breeze that caresses its shores.
Another special feature can be found in the village of Masarè, where the sliding plane of the great landslide that generated the lake is clearly visible. Also in Masarè, with a short diversions along a path, it is possible to reach the 'Ru de Rialt' waterfall in a few minutes, a very cool place in summer for a regenerating break.
For those who stay or simply stop for a few hours at the lakeside village, the Lake Tour is a must.
In summer, melting snow makes the highest peaks in the Dolomites more easily accessible.
The climbs are often via ferrata or normal routes that allow mountain enthusiasts to conquer the summit.
From up there, one's gaze sweeps over all the Dolomites and for a moment it seems as if one is on the roof of the world.
The gratification and satisfaction that the Dolomite peaks give cannot be expressed in words, but only those who have experienced this for once in their lives can understand these words.
The Marmolada with its glacier, the Civetta with its great wall that towers over the valley, the Pelmo with its characteristic shapes for which it has been christened "the Throne of God", and also all the other important peaks that surround the area such as the Tofane, Antelao, Cristallo, Sorapiss, the Pale di San Martino, and Agner are just some of the peaks that surround Alleghe and that can be the destination of a day excursion for or itinerant trekking.
