Ice Arena A. De Toni

The Alleghe ice arena was created  in December 1952 when the assembly of the then "Sportivi Ghiaccio Alleghe" decided to move the playing field from the frozen lake to the mainland and to the locality of Zunaja. The playing field was thus created to host hockey matches in the centre of the village, in the same place where today stands the modern ice arena built in 1975 and recently modernised. The stadium is named after Alvise De Toni, a technician from Allegheny who was kidnapped and killed in 1984 while working on a dam in Mozambique.
