In the surroundings of Alleghe there are some easily reachable stadiums dedicated to Nordic skiing. At Malga Ciapela, which can also be reached by Skibus, the entrance to the slopes is next to the cable car departure point, where the sports association "Sci Nordico Marmolada" operates. In Selva di Cadore, at the beginning of the Staulanza Pass, after the hamlet of Pescul, there is a wonderful Centro Fondo Peronaz (Peronaz cross-country ski centre), overlooked by the north face of the Pelmo. In Palafavera, just beyond the Staualanza Pass, as well as the cross-country skiing track, there is also the modern Palafavera Biathlon Centre. In Falcade, on the plain in the centre of the village, there is a state-of-the-art Nordic skiing facility, and in Valle di Gares, in the municipality of Canale D'Agordo, in a unique and atmospheric environment, there is one of the most interesting cross-country skiing centres for enthusiasts.
All these cross-country skiing centres can be easily reached in about 30 minutes by car from Alleghe.
