Pescul - Fertazza Peak

Start from the departure station of the Pescul chairlift. Follow the signs to Ristoro Fertazza on an easy forestry road. The route is about 4 km with a positive altitude difference of 450 m.   The route is very busy and shady so that it is often icy, so the use of crampons is recommended, which should always be carried along.

For the well-trained, it is possible, after 3.5 km with a diversion, to take the path to Cima Fertazza at an altitude of 2100m, where you reach the summit cross and the Refuge Belvedere. (2h.15) and 700m difference in altitude from the start.)

The first part is a traverse to the west, which may have some icy sections, then, at a indication point, it climbs more steeply through the vegetation, which becomes increasingly sparse. The final part skirts the ski slope and reaches the summit cross, where there is a wonderful panorama of the Valle del Cordevole.

For the return journey, it is also possible to use the chairlifts. (Crampons may be useful up to Ristoro Fertazza due to ice on the road) The chairlift ticket must be purchased in the valley.
